Nokia 6230i Original Ringtones
Posted: 22:40 12 Jun 05 #1 Hi everyone, I was having a problem with my ringtone playing as if the ascending setting was set even when it was not ( it was set to ringing ). My ringtones and theme were on my memory card and *not* on the phone. As soon as I moved the mp3 ringtone to the phone memory ( the 'tones' folder ) and the theme ( to the 'themes' folder ) and restarted the phone it all works fine. (I mention themes because sometimes ringtones are embedded in theme files) I am running version 3.30 of the firmware. I hope this helps some of you with this problem until Nokia can release a proper fix for it.
Having a swimming pool at home, of course, many advantages. In addition to a symbol of luxury, the pool is also able to present the cool, natural, and quiet impression on the minimalist house that you are inhabited.

Please post here and let me know if this works for you or not.:D. Posted: 00:23 13 Jun 05 #4 As a related aside.
DON'T store themes on the memory card anyway.! Because if you do, when you go into the menus and the menu background image needs to display, if this is on Memory Card it takes much longer to 'read', and as a consequence, makes it REALLY slow. Try if for yourself and see. Set a theme on MMC, and go into the menu, and see how long it takes to 'draw', or scroll through your contacts etc. Then try the same theme, but saved in Phone Memory. And see how much faster it is. So don't store themes on the MMC if you can at all avoid it!
Posted: 15:59 13 Jun 05 #10 The nokia 8310 also used to revert to an ascending ringtone if left on for a couple of days. Putting it off and on would occasionally cure the problem. Removing and replacing the battery was a surefire cure.
With the 6230i the same problem occurs - keep it on for a couple of days and the constant volume ring tone changes to an ascdending one. So far, putting it off and on corrects the ringtone. The low volume, ascending alarm tone and the calendar/ToDo alarm, however, do not get fixed by either a reboot or a battery withdrawal. If some kind soul can remove the battery for a couple of days and give us feedback as to the effectiveness of that manoeuvre. Program contoh soal tpa bappenas s2 pdf viewer download. The calendar tones are in any case located in the phone memory and are not changeable - so there is no question of their being on a memory card. Both start at such a low volume that they can only be heard if the phone is held up to the ear and by the time they come to an audible level the alarm stops. Nokia will not even acknowledge it as a problem.
Nokia India is right now mulling over the matter (I have demonstrated it to them with my and their own handsets) and trying to decide whether to acknowledge it as a bug or declare it a 'feature'. The crazy part is that the handsets where the handsfree kit doesn't work don't have this problem.
The alarms work at full volume from the start. That's why I am searching desperately for someone who has a 6230i without either of the two problems - a. Handsfree kit not working and b.
Low volume, ascending alarm tones. If such a creature exists then Nokia cannot claim that the low volume, ascending alarm is a 'feature' and there will be hope for us unfortunates. Posted: 09:49 14 Jun 05 #12 Had my 6230i for almost 2 weeks now.
